CT EXAMS

A CT scan (Computerized Tomography) is an imaging procedure that combines advanced x-ray machines with specially programmed computers to obtain a series of 2D images of specific areas of the body. How to prepare for exam:

• Nothing to eat or drink after midnight (or 8 hours prior to exam)

• Required medications ARE permitted

Note: this exam will require an IV injection of contrast
